Workwear Guide
One of the most frequently asked questions and topics of discussion between women in aviation maintenance is, "what do you wear to work?" While some companies do provide women’s maintenance uniforms, they are likely to be ill-fitting "unisex" (men's) uniforms. Pants, boots, and gloves are particularly difficult to source. Many women have reached out to us for advice on where to find comfortable workwear, and we've heard you!
With the help of input from the AWAM Board of Directors, our membership, and friends, we have compiled a workwear guide of community favorites, including external links to vendors and prices. AWAM does not officially endorse any of these products, we are just sharing information.
